About

My name is Katelynn Baker and I am a Graduate photography student at Carteret Community College with an associate in photographic technology.  My ultimate goal as a photographer is to shed light on all things seen and unseen, to capture moments and to be able to share a voice to all the beauty that many people over look every day in my pictures.  Becoming a photographer has been a personal journey. I started getting interested in photography back in high school with just a point and shoot camera, taking pictures of sunsets and flowers. Then I decided to follow my passion for photography to continue my education in the field. My enthusiasm has grown stronger, along with my skills, which develop more every day.  A career in photography is my number one goal, along with having my own photography studio. I have expanded my knowledge for many types of photography while attending CCC.  I have studied… Portraiture, photojournalism, documentary, graphic design,  digital imaging, and commercial illustration. During this time at school I’ve also gained the ability to use  Photoshop and InDesign both technically and with design theory.
